Goodbye, boxes
10:38 AMFor a while there, I thought the boxes in my house were duplicating while I wasn't home. I'll never be able to look at a cardboard box again without cringing.
My parents have helped me move every single time. I try to lessen their duties with each move: hiring movers, hiring packers, hiring a handyman. I can't imagine a move without them, and I don't want to. My mom is an organizational perfectionist. My dad is the handyman. It's almost comical. I purchase this old home, and they end up doing all the work for the first week. They'll likely disown me the next time around.
As for the living room...
I once had a large, leather sectional sofa. It was four pieces and could probably seat about 10 people comfortably. The couch can't take up 80% of the house's total square footage – only a semi-exaggeration. See for yourself.
Commence selling. I joined about 4-5 local Facebook trading groups, posted on Craigslist, and tried the letgo app. Facebook wins once again. Once it sold, I ordered the new couch from West Elm, and it was delivered in just over a week.
Hello, beautiful living room.

Wow, that looks so good! I'm glad the rug worked out, it looks like it was the perfect size for the space.
